The Muraherwe Children Hope Foundation (MCHF) has provided invaluable support to the most vulnerable children in the Bushumba group of Kabare territory in South Kivu, Democratic Republic of Congo. A food distribution ceremony was held on Sunday, December 8th, attended by numerous beneficiaries, community members, and foundation representatives.
Pierre Nshokano, spokesperson for the MCHF, highlighted the importance of this humanitarian action : « This initiative is part of our desire to improve the living conditions of the most disadvantaged children. By providing them with food, we are contributing to improving their health and enabling them to focus on their studies. » The presence of Mr. Ajuwa Byamungu, coordinator of the foundation, marked this important day. His commitment to the most vulnerable populations is an example for all.
Beyond Food, Comprehensive Support
This food distribution is a significant step in the framework of actions undertaken by the MCHF. According to Mr. Arsène Migabo, the foundation is committed to supporting the children of Bushumba in the long term by providing them with a balanced diet to promote their growth and development.

He highlighted the importance of the school construction project, a project that will allow many children to benefit from a quality education. « We are very grateful to the MCHF for their support. The construction of this school is a real hope for our community. Thanks to you, our children will finally have access to a decent education, » said Mr. Bahati.
Beyond education, the Bushumba community faces other challenges. Many children suffer from illnesses, including hernias, and cannot attend school. Mr. Bahati called on the foundation to help them take care of these sick children. « We have children who need urgent medical care. We hope that the MCHF can help us provide them with the necessary care, » he added.

- Mentorship : Mentor 200 young people each year in underserved areas by offering them mentorship and personal development activities.
- Vocational Training : Create 5 vocational training centers in conflict-affected regions within 3 years, to equip young people with skills that will enable them to enter the workforce.
